The Divine Journey of Pujya Gurudev Sadamalananda Nadha

In the heart of Hyderabad, on the auspicious day of September 13th, 1967, a divine soul entered the world, destined for a journey of spiritual awakening and wisdom. Born as the fifth son to the devout couple Sri Ananth Padmanabha Murthy and Smt. Venkata Subhalakshmi, this child, named Venkatramana, would one day be known to the world as Pujya Gurudev Sadamalananda Nadha, a beacon of Sri Vidya Upasana and a spiritual leader.

From young age, it was evident that Venkatramana was not an ordinary child. His heart was always drawn to the sacred and the spiritual, a calling far beyond the metirialistc world. Unlike other children, his education was intertwined with a deep spiritual quest. His soul yearned for the divine, leading him repeatedly to the sacred land of Srisailam. Such was his devotion that even as a child, he would often run away from home, embarking on pilgrimages to this holy site. By the time he grew into adulthood, Venkatramana had visited Srisailam more than 250 times, each visit strengthening his bond with the divine.

The turning point in Venkatramana’s life came in 1981 when he first visited the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. It was here, in the presence of the ³Jagadguru Shankaracharya, Sri Sri Sri Chandra Shekara Maha Swamy, that he received his first Beeja Mantra Upadesa, marking the beginning of his spiritual transformation. This initiation was a profound experience, setting the stage for his lifelong dedication to the path of Sri Vidya.

In 1983, while delving deeper into the mystical practices of Siddha Samadhi Yoga under the guidance of Guru Sri Sarangapaniji, Venkatramana received his second Beeja Mantra. This initiation further deepened his spiritual journey, leading him to the powerful practices of Sri Vidya Upasana.

Pujya Gurudevs spiritual transformation occurred when he met Pujya Gurudev Parama Sri Sarvananda Nada from the Himalayas. It was under the guidance of this enlightened master that Venkatramana was initiated into the Sri Vidya Moola Mantra Panchadasi and Sri Vidya Upasana. It was also during Poorabhishekam time Venkataramana was presented with the sacred name Sadamalananda Nadha, symbolizing his complete immersion into the divine path of Sri Vidya.

Pujya Gurudev’s dedication to the study and practice of Sri Vidya was unparalleled. He embarked on a lifelong journey of research and exploration into the different paths, practices, and traditions of Sri Vidya Upasana. His quest for knowledge took him to the feet of various Sri Vidya Gurus and Upasakas, from whom he gathered exclusive and profound insights into this ancient practice. His understanding of Sri Vidya was not merely theoretical; it was lived and practiced, making him a true embodiment of the wisdom he imparted.

In 2019, driven by a deep desire to spread the teachings of Sri Vidya, Pujya Gurudev founded the Sri Vidya Prachar Samsthan. This institution became a center of learning and spiritual practice, where Pujya Gurudev shared his vast knowledge and guided countless seekers on their path to the divine. His teachings were not limited to mere rituals; they encompassed a holistic understanding of Sri Vidya, blending tradition with profound spiritual experiences.

One of the most significant practices that Pujya Gurudev emphasized was the Sri Chakra NavaavarNa Pooja. Performed every month on the day of Purnima (full moon), this sacred ritual involved the illustration of the Sri Chakra on the ground, adorned with vibrant colors or flowers. This Pooja, under Pujya Gurudev’s guidance, became a powerful tool for devotees to connect with the divine energy of the Sri Chakra, experiencing the profound blessings of the Goddess.

Throughout his life, Pujya Gurudev undertook numerous pilgrimages, each journey adding to his spiritual evolution. He visited all 12 Jyotirlingas, most of the 18 Shakti Peethas, and several other sacred sites. His visits to Amer Kailash (Amarnath) in 1999, Adhi Kailash in 2012, Kinnaur Kailash in 2014, Char Dham in 2013, and Srikhand Mahadev in 2014, were not just physical journeys but deeply transformative spiritual experiences that further enriched his teachings.

Pujya Gurudev Sadamalananda Nadha’s life is a testament to the power of devotion, the pursuit of spiritual knowledge, and the grace of the divine. His journey from a young boy in Hyderabad to a revered spiritual leader is an inspiration to all who seek the path of Sri Vidya. Through his teachings, practices, and the Sri Vidya Prachar Samsthan, his legacy continues to guide and bless countless seekers on their journey to the divine.
